Reflection

During this production one of the first thing I realised that was important was to be emotional intelligent. Working with casts from different age groups made me see how different each and everyone is in terms of working style, preferred way of confrontation and perception of how the message is being conveyed. Having casts from different backgrounds also makes a difference in how prepared and understanding they are towards theatre practice. Despite those challenges, it made me sharpen my skill in people management which includes being emotionally intelligent towards others and even myself.

Secondly, honing my leadership skills, on top of managing my own team as well as the client, I also had to collaborate with design team. In this process, I noticed that not everyone would have the same method and style of leadership as me. Therefore, as the show progresses, I learned to let go of the control to allow not just my team but the design team to have their own free will. However, I am not leaving them alone entirely, I made sure to guide and assist them when needed.

Lastly, it is important for me build mental resilience as continue proceed even postproduction. It is important for me to continue building my mental resilience as it protects me from giving up and letting go when issues come us. Having the metal resilience to persevere and go despite the issue, learning and making ways around means to quick on the feet and adaptable.
